What is Exostoses?

Exostoses is a condition whereby abnormal bony growths appears in the outer ear canal. It is commonly caused by exposure to cold wind and water and occurs commonly in surfers. As these bony growths enlarge they can lead to a blockage of the ear canal, ear infection and hearing loss.

What are the symptoms?

Some common symptoms include a loss in hearing as well as increased occurrence of ear infections. One may also feel that water is trapped in the ear after swimming
